Gluten & Dairy-Free Pizza

Gluten-Free Dough Ingredients

  • 1 cup water (warm)
  • 1 tablespoon dry active yeast
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar or unrefined cane sugar
  • 3 cups gluten free all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Gluten & Dairy-Free Pizza Ingredients

  • 1/2 to 1 cup homemade pizza sauce (or store-bought)
  • 8 ounces dairy-free cheese (shredded)
  • Optional: Any veggies you like

Baking Instructions

First, preheat the oven to 375 F and lightly oil a baking sheet. Then, in a large bowl combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar, stirring to mix. Allow mixture to sit for about 5 minutes. After the mixture sits, combine the gluten-free flour, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl. Add the gluten-free flour and olive oil to the yeast mixture and stir until it becomes doughy. Add one tablespoon at a time (up to 1/4 cup if necessary). Then press the dough into a ball with your hands and roll out the dough until it is 1/8 inch-1/4 inch thin. Then put the pan into the oven for 7 to 10 minutes, or until a few cracks form. Take the pan out of the oven and then and spread the pizza sauce on top leaving 1/2 an inch margin around the edges. Finally, generously top dairy-free cheese and veggies onto the pizza. Brush the top with olive oil if you’d like a darker crust. Lastly, put the pizza back into the oven for 20-30 minutes or until the crust looks dry. Once the pizza is done cooking, remove it from the oven and let it cool.
