You have been a Christian for a while now, and you have the desire to share what Jesus has done in your life. That’s awesome! If you want to know how to share your faith you can go here. What’s next? You probably have the desire to pray for the people who don’t know Jesus. There are so many websites and apps that provide easy access each day to remind you to pray for the Gospel to be spread. They’re super helpful resources to “set your minds on things above (by prayer), not on earthly things”, as Colossians 3:2 says.
The Joshua Project
“Bringing definition to the unfinished task.”
This is what the Joshua Project is all about. This website provides maps, videos, articles, resources, and much more about how we as believers of Jesus can reach unreached people groups. Their mission is to provide followers of Christ to reach people groups who have never heard the Gospel. There is even an app that you can get on your phone to help you to remember to pray for people to meet Jesus. It’s called “Unreached Of the Day”. It will send you a notification that tells you what people group everyone with the app will be praying for that day.
“More Christians are suffering for their faith than any other time in history”
Open Doors is a website that provides resources to take action against persecution against Christians all across the world. Through praying, volunteering, and giving, anyone can help. The coolest part about this website is the “Prayer Pledge”. This pledge entails praying for persecuted Christians on a weekly basis, downloading the “Pray for the Persecuted” app, and sharing your journey on social media. This is such an easy way to start praying for people who are enduring persecution.
The Voices of the Martyrs
“Serving persecuted Christians through practical and spiritual assistance, and leadings other members of the body of Christ into fellowship with them.”
A lot like Open Doors, The Voices of the Martyrs target is to pray for those who are being persecuted for their faith. The website provides information about specific stories of persecution, how you can write to them, and give them a Bible. Of course they provide information on how specifically you can pray for someone or a way to find prayer requests and write your own prayers. “Open Doors” leads to a site called ICommitToPray.com. There, you can join in with others to pray for specific types of persecution and people who are being persecuted.
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears our prayers.” -1 John 5:14
Whether it’s praying for those who don’t know the Gospel or for Christians who are being persecuted, know that God hears you. He loves you and everyone else steadfastly. Have faith when you pray that He will provide for you and for others. He is the creator of the universe, therefore, He hears every prayer and will always provide in a way that will glorify Him the most. Be encouraged that God always has you and those who are lost’s best interest in mind.
